The tangible value of increased water efficiency, reuse and recycling and improved social license to operate are moving more companies to adopt water stewardship strategies. Scholarship on the right to water has proliferated in interesting and unexpected ways in recent years. There is growing acceptance that the progress delivered under the Millennium Development Goal target for drinking water and sanitation has been inequitable.
