Jonathan Christmas married Hester Morton 19 June 1741 in Craven County, South Carolina. They had four known children. Thomas Christmas was born 1 October 1689 in Pohick Creek, Stafford County, Virginia. His parents were Charles Christmas and Mary Cross. He had seven known children. Jonathan and Thomas may be related. Includes other Christmas families that may or may not be related to Jonathan or Thomas. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana and Texas.

John A. Powell (1807-1880), Noah Powell (1808-1875) and Alfred Powell (1810-1881), brothers, three of the sons of Joseph Powell and Sarah Alkire, moved from Ohio to Illinois in 1825, and in 1851 they moved to the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Descendants lived in Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho and elsewhere. Ancestors lived in Ohio, Virginia and elsewhere.
