This volume is dedicated to Professor Stefan Samko on the occasion of his seventieth birthday. The contributions display the range of his scientific interests in harmonic analysis and operator theory. Particular attention is paid to fractional integrals and derivatives, singular, hypersingular and potential operators in variable exponent spaces, pseudodifferential operators in various modern function and distribution spaces, as well as related applications, to mention but a few. Most contributions were firstly presented in two conferences at Lisbon and Aveiro, Portugal, in June‒July 2011.

This volume is part of the collaboration agreement between Springer and the ISAAC society. This is the first in the two-volume series originating from the 2020 activities within the international scientific conference "Modern Methods, Problems and Applications of Operator Theory and Harmonic Analysis" (OTHA), Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. This volume is focused on general harmonic analysis and its numerous applications. The two volumes cover new trends and advances in several very important fields of mathematics, developed intensively over the last decade. The relevance of this topic is related to the study of complex multiparameter objects required when considering operators and objects with variable parameters.

This volume contains the proceedings of the AMS Special Session on Harmonic Analysis and Partial Differential Equations, held from April 21–22, 2018, at Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. The book features a series of recent developments at the interface between harmonic analysis and partial differential equations and is aimed toward the theoretical and applied communities of researchers working in real, complex, and harmonic analysis, partial differential equations, and their applications. This book is the second of a two volume series. Covering a range of subjects from operator theory and classical harmonic analysis to Banach space theory, this book features fully-refereed, high-quality papers exploring new results and trends in weighted norm inequalities, Schur-Agler class functions, complex analysis, dynamical systems, and dyadic harmonic analysis. Graduate students and researchers in analysis will find inspiration in the articles collected in this volume, which emphasize the remarkable connections between harmonic analysis and operator theory. A survey of the two weight problem for the Hilbert transform and an expository article on the Clark model to the case of non-singular measures and applications to the study of rank-one perturbations are included. The material for this volume is based on the 13th New Mexico Analysis Seminar held at the University of New Mexico, April 3-4, 2014 and on several special sections of the Western Spring Sectional Meeting at the University of New Mexico, April 4-6,2014. During the event, participants honored the memory of Cora Sadosky—a great mathematician who recently passed away and who made significant contributions to the field of harmonic analysis. Cora was an exceptional scientist and human being. She was a world expert in harmonic analysis and operator theory, publishing over fifty-five research papers and authoring a major textbook in the field. Participants of the conference include new and senior researchers, recent doctorates as well as leading experts in the area.

At the heart of Clifford analysis is the study of systems of special partial differential operators that arise naturally from the use of Clifford algebra as a calculus tool. This book focuses on the study of Dirac operators and related ones, together with applications in mathematics, physics and engineering. This book collects refereed papers from a satellite conference to the ICM 2002, plus invited contributions. All articles contain unpublished new results.

Topics of the Advanced Course in Operator Theory and Complex Analysis held in Seville in June 2004 ranged from determining the conformal type of Riemann surfaces, to concrete classical operators acting on classical spaces of analytic functions, passing through how the behaviour of the powers of the classical shift operator determines whether every function in a given space of analytic functions on the disk has non-tangential limits almost everywhere, and lattices of jointly invariant subspaces for two translations semigroup.

This book consists of research papers that cover the scientific areas of the International Workshop on Operator Theory, Operator Algebras and Applications, held in Lisbon in September 2012. The volume particularly focuses on (i) operator theory and harmonic analysis (singular integral operators with shifts; pseudodifferential operators, factorization of almost periodic matrix functions; inequalities; Cauchy type integrals; maximal and singular operators on generalized Orlicz-Morrey spaces; the Riesz potential operator; modification of Hadamard fractional integro-differentiation), (ii) operator algebras (invertibility in groupoid C*-algebras; inner endomorphisms of some semi group, crossed products; C*-algebras generated by mappings which have finite orbits; Folner sequences in operator algebras; arithmetic aspect of C*_r SL(2); C*-algebras of singular integral operators; algebras of operator sequences) and (iii) mathematical physics (operator approach to diffraction from polygonal-conical screens; Poisson geometry of difference Lax operators).

This book offers peer-reviewed articles from the 19th International Conference on Operator Theory, Summer 2002. It contains recent developments in a broad range of topics from operator theory, operator algebras and their applications, particularly to differential analysis, complex functions, ergodic theory, mathematical physics, matrix analysis, and systems theory. The book covers a large variety of topics including single operator theory, C*-algebras, diffrential operators, integral transforms, stochastic processes and operators, and more.

These 35 refereed articles report on recent and original results in various areas of operator theory and connected fields, many of them strongly related to contributions of Sz.-Nagy. The scientific part of the book is preceeded by fifty pages of biographical material, including several photos.

This book presents 30 articles on the topic areas discussed at the 30th “International Workshop on Operator Theory and its Applications”, held in Lisbon in July 2019. The contributions include both expository essays and original research papers reflecting recent advances in the traditional IWOTA areas and emerging adjacent fields, as well as the applications of Operator Theory and Functional Analysis. The topics range from C*–algebras and Banach *–algebras, Sturm-Liouville theory, integrable systems, dilation theory, frame theory, Toeplitz, Hankel, and singular integral operators, to questions from lattice, group and matrix theories, complex analysis, harmonic analysis, and function spaces. Given its scope, the book is chiefly intended for researchers and graduate students in the areas of Operator Theory, Functional Analysis, their applications and adjacent fields.
