The Catholic Catechism (Pope John Paul II edition) claims to be true and foundational to Catholicism. Catholic Catechism Critique examines the Catechism’s fallibilities and advises Catholics to write a version of the Catholic Catechism that addresses and corrects logical fallacies within it. Catholic Catechism Critique closely examines all 2, 865 paragraphs of the Catholic Catechism, beginning with Marian Doctrine and the idea that St. Mary cannot be co-Mediator (Mediatrix) on a par with God unless she is God. The analysis moves through truth-testing/truth-seeking, to sacred transmission (of truth), to NEWTOWN (a Catholic CANOPOLIS), and a "GODBOT" that could be programmed by the Catholic Magisterium. The examination ends with future humans and their potential relationship with the Roman Catholic Church. In addition, as part of the process, empirical truth testing calls into question rituals of faith healing and exorcism, and testing by logic/reasoning invalidates other assertions. If it hopes to survive, this book argues, the Roman Catholic Church must rectify its Catechism’s failings, and may evolve to become a “future Catholicism under a Jewish protectorate.”

The Roman Catholic Church is the largest denomination with 1.1 billion adherents. Recently the pope Benedict XVI reasserted that the Catholic Church is the only true church founded by Christ. Today there is a pervasive indifference as to the question what is the true Christianity. This is a serious situation because there are numerous false or only partly true versions of Christianity. The author of this book attempts a critical appraisal of the Roman Catholic Church by the criteria of the Bible and history. The conclusion he reached is that the Catholic Church is a perversion of the Christianity of the New Testament. The author believes that he has substantiated the proposition that there are many unbiblical pagan elements in the Church. To give one example the monarchical papacy and the authoritarian church structure developed after the model of the authoritarian government of the ancient Roman Empire. No wonder that its official name is the Roman Catholic Church. A theologian and a minister. Received a doctorate in systematic theology from the University of Toronto. He did the ministerial work for 17 years in the United Church of Canada. Took early retirement in 1990 to study and write books, which is, he feels, the talent and his main vocation he has received from God. He respects the Bible as containing the revealed word of God. According to the prophets of God "justice and mercy" and the pure preservation of the true religion of God are God's two major concerns. He believes that God's major concerns should be all Christians' major concerns as well. "The Roman Catholic Church - A Critical Appraisal" was written from that perspective in order to attest to the true religion of God and to keep Christians from heading onto the wrong path.

Many Catholics today are disenchanted with the Church's continuing distrust of women and laity. But, despite this widespread dissatisfaction, traditional power relations have hardly changed over the last century. "Catholics, Conflicts and Choices" presents detailed interviews with lay people, priests, Sisters, and Christian Brothers, each discussing their personal struggles with church teachings and practices. The conversations are selected to illustrate different experiences of power relations - particularly different aspects of gender dynamics - within the organisational structures of the Church. The interviews are examined within a framework of feminist, sociological and psychological theory. "Catholics, Conflicts and Choices" reveals how, despite a long history of challenging official notions of authority and obedience and assumptions about intimate relationships, there is little potential for change if the established power relations of the Church are not confronted.
