eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

Finally! - A sales book for heart-centered entrepreneurs, coaches and consultants! Are you ready to build a purposeful and profitable business, through fulfilling and human-centered client relationships? Is selling hard, uncomfortable and draining to you? Are you tired of the 'always be closing' and sleazy car salesmen approach? You’re not alone. It is a revolution pushing up through the cracks of the conventional business world. A humane revolution. SELLING LIKE WE'RE HUMAN is for quietly rebellious business owners like you who are interested in selling from the heart, with authenticity, empathy and kindness. This book gives you a roadmap to unlearn the traditional sales approach and find your way back to the way selling was always supposed to be: humane, gentle, and kind! Structured around three phases of transformation, BEING, KNOWING and DOING, along with thought-provoking questions, powerful self-reflections and compelling stories to guide the way, Santacroce lays out the necessary steps to: - ground yourself in your own worth and gently boost your sales confidence thanks to a newly gained perspective about sales - bring more of you to your sales, not some prescribed version of who you should be - get clear on your value and how it is different from what everyone else is offering - truly empathize with your clients by getting into their heads and learning about their 'anti-hero' - calculating the tangible and intangible value of your offering - revisiting your sales funnel and empowering your client with signposts - and finally ditching the sales script and instead designing your own gentle sales conversation Selling Like We're Human will help you get clients who become your raving fans, allow you to quit the hustle and instead build a sustainable long-term business ! Bearly Hanging On Alpha Werebear Werewolf Shifter Paranormal Romance

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

From NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY best-selling author Lynn Red comes a steamy, sensual, seductively hilarious shifter romance! Jamie Ampton is a sharp-tongued, pointy-toothed, vampy shifter with a penchant for neatly done-up hair buns and a habit of attracting EXACTLY the wrong sort of guy. Guys with a dash of arrogance, a pinch of cocky swagger turn her head... but when her last one turned out to be more “self-important jackass” and less “gruff and strong and takes what he wants,” it left her cold. So to speak. Ryan Drake has a dark past and a mysterious present. When he shows up demanding the town alpha do his part to care for Jamesburg’s aging shifters, the first thing Jamie notices is that her heart starts beating a little quicker. The second is a knot in the pit of her stomach. And then, before she can catch her breath, he stares straight into her eyes. She’s never been one for the big, loud, muscled-up types, but in the space of two breaths, the elegantly detached Jamie finds herself falling for a bear. Little does Jamie know that before he stomped into that courtroom, Ryan decided that nothing was gonna stop him from getting what he wanted. But, once he saw Jamie? Suddenly there were two things that this massive blue-eyed alpha bear were going to have, no matter what it took: help for his friends... and Jamie. And Ryan? Ryan is one bear who ALWAYS takes what he wants. ***The Jamesburg Shifters is a series of standalone novels each with a unique hero and heroine, and HEA! No cliffhangers here – the stories can be enjoyed in any order you like, though once you start, you might not want to stop!***

Defining Hybrid Homeschools In America

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

Defining Hybrid Homeschools in America: Little Platoons explores the idea of hybrid homeschools, where students attend a formal school setting for part of the week and are homeschooled the rest of the week. Eric Wearne observes that school choice in America typically comes in two forms: programs set up for disadvantaged students, and the more common form of choice that wealthy parents can exercise—paying private tuition or moving to a more desirable school district. While disadvantaged families in many places and wealthy families everywhere can exercise choice when it comes to schooling, a sizeable group typically gets left out of those options—the large number of families who are too wealthy to access state or local programs, but not wealthy enough to pay for private schooling or moving expenses. Wearne argues that this is a long-term weakness for school choice in America; the middle class is generally a well-off demographic, but is almost completely unserved when it comes to this large aspect of their children’s lives. However, one low-cost option has arisen to address this niche: hybrid home schools. Wearne cites existing research to argue for this model’s efficacy for the middle class as a strong example of a healthy civil society and examines how policy definitions are breaking down and evolving in education as we challenge the existing definitions of schooling.

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

Raising the perfect child . . . it’s our dream as parents. But the reality is: the perfect child doesn’t exist. Yet parents everywhere are putting the full-court press on their kids to be perfect, fixating on raising them to be smarter, faster, more successful, and more popular than their peers. And that’s making today’s parents and their children crazy. In Untying Parent Axniety, nationally syndicated humor columnist and author Lisa Sugarman reminds us that our kids aren’t supposed to be perfect. (And neither are we.) They’re going to screw up, make mistakes, and lose their way. And as soon as we embrace the idea that parenthood is not a straight line, we unlock everyone’s full potential. Drawing on her life as the perfectly imperfect mother of two daughters and more than a decade of working in the school system, Sugarman deconstructs some of the biggest myths facing parents and offers advice and strategies to help soothe anxious moms and dads. Cycling through everything from friend drama and separation anxiety to playing nice and emotional development, Untying Parent Anxiety is a funny but honest journey through the most common stages of raising kids that reinforces that parenthood is a beautiful, imperfect work in progress.
