Our Story explores the relationship between the individual and the many cultures to which he or she belongs simultaneously—cultures that make it possible for people to act as teams with a shared moral vision of what they can and should accomplish.

Our Story 90 years, Looking Back... The world has changed so much in 90 years that I wanted to write about how they affected our lives. To let you know that we were real people that had the same emotions and feelings that you have. Ive included a little genealogy, a little history and how the things you read about in your history books affected us. Also, how the world has changed socially and morally and not always for the best. Of course this is your 90 year old Great Grandmas story and ideas.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." But it's no secret that the Christian church is "broke," and does need fixing. Despite great effort, things are going badly for us. We've tried trendy and tech-savvy, entrepreneurial and coffee-house gritty. They're not helping. Our problem is deeper than that. Our problem is our instincts--instincts informed by our story. There was a time when the Christian church was a powerfully transformative presence in society. It can be again--but it will require radical rethinking of the story that informs our instincts. And it's time! It's been five hundred years since the Reformation, our last major update. Today is a pivotal moment in history. With our worldview upended by quantum physics, history is demanding we renew the Christian story for our times. Rethinking Our Story reframes the elements of the Christian narrative for the new era. It explores "quantum" ways of thinking about God, human nature, Jesus, salvation, and the afterlife. The future of the church and the health of our society depend on our willingness to rethink, retell, and live out a better story. Do you know why you were put on the face of this earth? Only God has an answer to that question. The nice thing about being in your twilight years is that you can look back and see what real life can hand you. This is the story of two couples from two different walks of life with different family and professional backgrounds who found out that what you dream and plan may not always turn out the way you expected. This book highlights two special individuals: Vernon Rosser of Nashville, Tennessee, and Joyce Merz, who lived about seventy-five miles away in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Neither one knew the other; however, both of them had contracted an incurable lung disease known as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). This was a viral infection of the lungs without any known cause or cure. These two taught their spouses and those around them a lesson that changed the lives of many.

Our Story starts when two young Christian kids meet, fall in love, get married and go through life together. When I first heard the word “manic schizophrenic” it was a shock. What followed is how we lived through a situation that often felt impossible. Yet, we found there was hope and we never gave up (although we came close) until we finally overcame the almost impossible. I know that there is someone who needs to hear our story and be given hope to overcome their own hardship.

Indigenous Motherhood in the Academy highlights the experiences and narratives emerging from Indigenous mothers in the academy who are negotiating their roles in multiple contexts. The essays in this volume contribute to the broader higher education literature and the literature on Indigenous representation in the academy, filling a longtime gap that has excluded Indigenous women scholar voices. This book covers diverse topics such as the journey to motherhood, lessons through motherhood, acknowledging ancestors and grandparents in one’s mothering, how historical trauma and violence plague the past, and balancing mothering through the healing process. More specific to Indigenous motherhood in the academy is how culture and place impacts mothering (specifically, if Indigenous mothers are not in their traditional homelands as they raise their children), how academia impacts mothering, how mothering impacts scholarship, and how to negotiate loss and other complexities between motherhood and one’s role in the academy.
