The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1990, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from February 10 through December 21, 1990. During the first three months of 1990 Brother Lee was in Anaheim, California. In early April he traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, and at the end of that month he visited Hualien, Taiwan. He returned to Anaheim in the first part of May and remained there until the end of the third week in August. During that time he visited Long Beach, California. At the end of August Brother Lee visited San Francisco, San Jose, and Berkeley, California. In early September he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the middle of October. During that period he briefly visited San Diego and San Bernardino, California. In the middle of October Brother Lee traveled to the Far East and remained there until the first part of November. During that period he visited Taipei and then Kota Kinabalu, Sibu, Kuching, and Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. In the middle of November he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into fifteen sections, as follows: 1. Eight messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 10 through May 19. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Practice of the Group Meetings and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Four messages given in Anaheim, California, on March 9 and 10. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Intrinsic Problem in the Lord's Recovery Today and Its Scriptural Remedy. They are included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1989, volume 4, as chapters 3 through 6 of Elders' Training, Book 10: The Eldership and the God-ordained Way (2). Therefore, they are not reprinted in this volume. 3. Four messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 5 through 8. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Oneness and the One Accord according to the Lord's Aspiration and the Body Life and Service according to His Pleasure and are included in this volume under the same title. 4. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1990, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 7, 1990, through June 18, 1991. In 1990 Brother Lee spoke forty-six messages that were published in the Life-study of Deuteronomy and the Life-study of Isaiah. Brother Lee remained in Anaheim, California, from the first part of May until the end of the third week in August. During that time he visited Long Beach, California. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1986, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from March 14, 1986, through April 11, 1990. In the first week of March 1986 Brother Lee traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, where he remained until the beginning of June. From Taipei he returned to Anaheim, California, and was there for a few days before traveling to Irving, Texas, after the third week of June. The contents of this volume are divided into five sections, as follows: 1. Nineteen messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on March 14 through June 1, 1986. They were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled Crucial Words of Leading in the Lord's Recovery, Book 1: The Vision and Definite Steps for the Practice of the New Way and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Three messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on March 14 through 21, 1986. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Vision of the Age. They are included in this volume as chapters 1 through 3 of the section entitled Crucial Words of Leading in the Lord's Recovery, Book 1: The Vision and Definite Steps for the Practice of the New Way. Therefore, they are not reprinted in this section. 3. Twelve messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on March 18 through June 3, 1986. They were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Economy of God and the Mystery of the Transmission of the Divine Trinity and are included in this volume under the same title. 4. A message given by phone from Taipei, Taiwan, to a gathering of saints in Stuttgart, Germany, on May 25, 1986. This message is included in this volume under the title God's Economy and the God-ordained Way. 5. Eight messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on June 1, 1986; May 10 through August 6, 1987; and April 11, 1990. They were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled A Blessed Human Life and are included in this volume under the same title.

This two-volume publication, Lessons on the Eldership, is composed of outlines and excerpts compiled from the ministry of Witness Lee and Watchman Nee. They are intended to be used by mature workers for the training of the elders and responsible brothers among the churches in the hope that these brothers will be perfected to labor fruitfully in the carrying out of God’s economy for the fulfillment of His purpose through the churches.

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 5 through 8 of The Apostles' Teaching, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1990. This section includes fellowship concerning the outpouring of the Holy Spirit for the baptizing of all the believers into one Body, the ministry of Christ in His ascension, and the rapture of the saints. The second line--Words for New Believers--contains the concluding chapters of Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Volume 6, chapters 58 through 60, which are in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1932–1949. These chapters cover the subjects of paradise and the lake of fire, the rapture of the believers, and the second coming of Christ. This section then continues with chapter 1 of a new book, The Crucial Revelation of Life in the Scriptures, which is in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1969. This chapter covers the matter of life as seen in Genesis 1. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 49 and 50 of The Kingdom, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1972. These chapters cover the exercise of the kingdom and a rich entrance into the kingdom. This section then continues with chapters 1 and 2 of a new book, Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters contain an opening word concerning the perfecting training and a word on the damage of opinion. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with chapters 22 through 25 of Crystallization-study of the Epistle to the Romans, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters cover the grace of God and the announcing of the gospel.

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. These chapters cover life for image and dominion, the Lamb, the manna, and the produce of the land for eating, aspects of drinking in the Old Testament, and the flow of life. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 3 through 6 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters contain messages on the damage of opinion, how to deal with opinion in the church life, killing opinion by the vision of Christ, and a dominating factor to deal with opinion. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with the final chapter of Crystallization-study of the Epistle to the Romans, which is in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. This chapter covers the announcing of the gospel. This section then continues with chapters 1 through 3 of Crystallization-study of the Gospel of John, which are in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters begin with an introductory word on the Word of God and then focus more specifically on the Word of God and God.

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--begins a new book, The Apostles' Teaching, which is in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1990. This line includes chapters 1 through 4, which cover the entire speaking of God in the New Testament concerning God's New Testament economy and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit for the baptizing of all the believers into one Body. The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 54 through 57 of Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Volume 6, which are in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1932–1949. These chapters cover the subjects of the world, sin, death and resurrection, and judgment. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 45 through 48 of The Kingdom, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1972. These chapters cover the kingdom revealed in Hebrews, the harvest of the kingdom in Revelation, different aspects of the kingdom, and life under the ruling of the kingdom. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with chapters 18 through 21 of Crystallization-study of the Epistle to the Romans, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters cover the designation of Christ's humanity and the grace of God.

This issue of The Ministry of the Word contains the six messages from the Thanksgiving weekend conference held in Phoenix, Arizona, November 23-26, 2017.
