Transformations in Stories and Arguments explores essential questions, such as "How does the development of a character build the reader's understanding? How do the actions of others change the world? How do words and images impact our thinking?" This unit, developed by Vanderbilt University's Programs for Talented Youth, is aligned to the Common Core State Standards and features accelerated content, creative products, differentiated tasks, engaging activities, and the use of in-depth analysis models to develop sophisticated skills in the language arts. Through the lens of transformation, students will examine narrative and persuasive elements essential to the analysis of short stories, advertisements, visual art, scientific argumentation, and their own writing. Over the course of the last twenty years, Native American and Indigenous American literary studies has experienced a dramatic shift from a critical focus on identity and authenticity to the intellectual, cultural, political, historical, and tribal nation contexts from which these Indigenous literatures emerge. The Oxford Handbook of Indigenous American Literature reflects on these changes and provides a complete overview of the current state of the field. The Handbook's forty-three essays, organized into four sections, cover oral traditions, poetry, drama, non-fiction, fiction, and other forms of Indigenous American writing from the seventeenth through the twenty-first century. Part I attends to literary histories across a range of communities, providing, for example, analyses of Inuit, Chicana/o, Anishinaabe, and Métis literary practices. Together, the volume is the most comprehensive and expansive critical handbook of Indigenous American literatures published to date. The global energy crisis has led to a growing debate on the need to expedite the phasing out of fossil fuels. Highlighting the advantages of adopting renewable energy solutions can act as a driving force for positive change in this field. Therefore, it is crucial to include educational aspects in policy development to encourage local decarbonisation. This study employs the diffusion of innovations theory as its research framework to determine the extent to which social learning can facilitate the adoption of renewable energy solutions by individual household residents. Furthermore, the study examines the extent to which social learning can impede the uptake of renewable energy solutions by individual household residents. The content presented in the chapters will be beneficial for educators who are developing interventions based on social learning mechanisms, as well as for engineers who are designing innovative solutions.

ÿThe aim of this book is to share a relatively loose collection of studies using digital storytelling as a pedagogical tool in Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). The book takes an informed social justice approach to teaching and learning, at the heart of which is the exploration of DST as a practice of voice and agency. Voice and agency are important in excavating and recovering subjugated identities, and moving the concerns of those occupying subaltern spaces to the mainstream of teaching and learning. Yet this discursive shift is not without inherent challenges. Multi-modal technologies are reflective of wider inequities in the so-called technological divide. Whilst this is a book about higher education, there are important lessons for schooling. On the one hand, the book is a powerful demonstration of the potential of DST for enhancing learning in schools, particularly in schools serving the poor and marginalised. On the other hand, improving teaching and learning in higher education, through the creative use of technology, is essential to overcome the learning challenges of those entering tertiary level institutions.

Moreover, today's experts in post-communist countries do not find stable policies and institutional arrangements in the West but rather another reform process, the "domestication" of the classical welfare states.
